My Journey as an Educator
Since 2007, I’ve worn many hats as an educator, from teaching in the classroom to working with small groups and creating engaging resources for teachers just like you. Over the years, I’ve taught kindergarten through second grade, where my love for hands-on learning, thematic teaching, and student engagement took root.
In 2011, I started Mrs. Jones’ Creation Station to share the resources and ideas that worked wonders in my own classroom. What started as a side project quickly grew into a full-time passion, allowing me to connect with educators around the world.
Why Mrs. Jones’ Creation Station Exists
Let’s face it…teaching is HARD. Between lesson plans, endless emails, and the constant quest to keep students engaged, it can feel like a juggling act. That’s why I’m here:

My Teaching Philosophy
I believe learning should be interactive, meaningful, and joyful. Every student is unique, and I design my resources with that in mind. Whether it’s incorporating a creative theme, providing hands-on opportunities, or breaking concepts into manageable steps, I aim to meet learners where they are while helping them grow.
I also understand how crucial it is to have a plan that works. That’s why I’ve spent so much time developing resources that align with standards and flow seamlessly into your curriculum…so you can spend less time prepping and more time teaching.
A Little More About Me
When I’m not creating resources or working with educators, I’m a busy mom, wife, and part-time tutor. My husband, Jared, and I are raising our amazing kids while juggling dance practices, baseball games, and family time. I also returned to the classroom from 2021 to 2023, which gave me fresh insights into what teachers need today.
Fun facts about me:
- I’ve been in the education world for over 15 years and counting.
- I’m obsessed with colorful, organized classrooms (and I’ll always advocate for neatly labeled containers and perfectly sorted bins!).
- When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at baseball games, driving my kids to all the things, or sipping a Sonic Dr. Pepper.
