October Literacy Centers and Math Centers
This resources contains 6 literacy centers and 6 math centers to be used during the month of October.

LITERACY CENTERS INCLUDED:
Phonics Center:
Print and laminate the rhyming cards and post them around the room. Have the learners place the work page on a clipboard and find the rhyming card that matches each picture on the page. The learners can read/say the rhyming words and write the 2 words that rhyme on their work page. Two sets are provided.
Pocket Chart Center:
Print and laminate the title and cards. Have your learners sort the cards by letters, numbers, and words on a pocket chart. Learners may complete the printable while at the center or as an assessment after.
Reading Center:
Print the pages and purchase a photo album from a dollar store. Insert the title and pages into the photo album. Laminate the word holder for each book and velcro the word cards onto the holder page and place lamination on the blank book pages. Learners may read the book at the center and fill in the missing words for the second portion of the book.
Sight Word Center:
Edit the sight word cards (directions in the product description) to meet your needs, print and laminate the cards and mats. Have your learners pick a sight word card, make the card with the editable tiles or other letter manipulatives and write the word with a dry erase marker or crayon. Three sets are provided.
Word Play Center:
Print and laminate alphabet cards. Have your learners match the letter to the picture with the correct initial sound. Learners may complete the printable while at the center or as an assessment after.
Writing Center:
Print and laminate the sentence strips. Have your learners make and read the sentences (small pocket chart recommended). Learners may complete the printable while at the center or as an assessment after.
MATH CENTERS INCLUDED:
Math Center 1: (Sorting Leaves)
Print and laminate the mats and leaf cards. Have your learners sort the pictures onto the correct mat by shape or color. Learners may complete the printable while at the center or as an assessment after.
Math Center 2: (Race to 20)
Print and laminate the game boards and find a manipulative for each player (small erasers, counters, etc.). Have the learners use a paper clip and pencil to spin an amount. They may count on and move their manipulative on the board. The first player to reach 20 wins. Learners may complete the printable while at the center or as an assessment after. Three game boards are provided.
Math Center 3: (Ten Frame Clip Cards)
Print and laminate the clip cards. Have your learners use a clothespin and clip the ten frame that shows the amount of the number on the card. Learners may complete the printable while at the center or as an assessment after.
Math Center 4: (Patterning)
Print and laminate the pattern strip and cards. Have the learners create the pattern on each strip using the cards provided. Learners may complete the printable while at the center or as an assessment after.
Math Center 5: (Counting On)
Print and laminate the number cards and counting strips. Have your learners choose a card and find the counting strip that shows the next three numbers. Learners may complete the printable while at the center or as an assessment after.
Math Center 6: (Making 5/10)
Print and laminate the mats and number cards. Have learners either write the way the candy makes 5 or 10 with a dry erase marker or crayon or use the number cards provided. Learners may write the numeral and draw the apples on the printable provided. Two sets are provided (Making 5/Making 10).
