Common Core State

RF.K.2 – demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes)
RF.K.2d – isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in three-phoneme (consonant-vowel-consonant, or CVC) words. (This does not include CVCs ending with /l/, /r/, or /x/.)
RF.K.2e – add or substitute individual sounds (phonemes) in simple, one-syllable words to make new words.

LA.K.2.A.ii – demonstrate phonological awareness by: recognizing spoken alliteration or groups of words that begin with the same spoken onset or initial sound
TEKSLA.K.2.A.viii – blending spoken phonemes to form one-syllable words
TEKSLA.K.2.A.i – demonstrate phonological awareness by: identifying and producing rhyming words
TEKSLA.K.2.C.ii – demonstrate and apply spelling knowledge by: spelling words using sound-spelling patterns
