Use these welcome, months, days of the week, weather and focus songs during April Calendar time. Print two to a page or project on a screen.

April Focus

Post the focus letters (Oo, Uu, Cc, Gg), numbers (15-16), color (black), shape (oval) and sight words (what, all, were, we) to introduce and review during the month of April.

April Calendar

Includes a March title, editable year, and date cards with an ABBC pattern. Yesterday, today, tomorrow, holiday, birthday and special day inserts are also included.

Counting to 90

Practice counting to 90. Cut, tape or glue and laminate as a single strip. Look for patterns in the number line.

Encoding Strips

Print, cut and laminate the CVC encoding strips and letter cards. Use a pocket chart or magnetic tape (for a white board) to teach this skill whole group. work together to count the sounds in each word and then match the letter for each sound.

L.K.1a- print many upper- and lowercase letters

L.K.2c- write a letter or letters for most consonant and short-vowel sounds (phonemes)
