A fun, interactive way to teach the four seasons is with this Seasons Science Lapbook!
This lapbook includes resources to teach the four seasons of the year. Help your learners understand why we have seasons, how to dress for each season, vocabulary for the four seasons, and more!
Here is what you’ll get:
Cover
Have your learners color and cut the cover page. Fold a large piece of construction paper or file folder where the ends go to the center. Glue the cover page on the top and cut down the middle after the glue dries.
Seasons Title
Have your learners color and cut the cloud title. Glue the title on the top of the inside of the lapbook (matching the hands on the cover before gluing).
Reasons for the Seasons
Have your learners cut and glue the back of the flap on the top right wing of the lapbook. Together write the reasons we have seasons. (i.e. tilt of the Earth, etc)
A Tree for each Season
Have your learners color, write the name of the season and glue the pages to create a book. Glue the fall tree on the middle right wing of the lapbook and glue the other pages on top to create a mini-book.
What’s the Season?
Have your learners color and trace the seasonal word cards. Then, color, cut and glue the “What’s the Season?” pocket on the bottom right wing of the lapbook. Learners may place the cards in the pocket and say the season each picture is for while they take them out.
Clothes for each Season
Both boy and girl pages are available! Cut the large box and glue in the middle of the lapbook. Color and cut the season pockets and glue onto the large box. Finally have your learners color, cut and place the clothing into the correct season pockets to dress their girl/boy.
Dress Me for the Season
Have your learners cut and glue the ‘Dress Me’ box onto the top left wing of the lapbook. Then, have them glue the seasons to create a flip book (make sure winter is on the top). Finally, have your learners glue their boy or girl on the bottom left wing of the lapbook. They may using the clothes in the middle of the lapbook to dress their boy/girl for each season.
Seasons of Fun
Have your learners draw and write about a fun activity to do each season.
